Delete account
You can have your mentro account deleted at any time. This page explains how to request it, what is deleted and what stays with your training company for legal reasons.
How to request deletion
Write to support@mentro.ch from the email address you use to sign in to mentro, with the subject «Delete account».
We check the request, carry out the deletion within 30 days and confirm it by email. There is no charge, and you do not have to give a reason.
End your access right away
If you want to close your account immediately, without waiting for the deletion, you can do that inside mentro:
- Sign in to mentro.
- Open your profile picture at the top right and choose Settings.
- Under Account, choose Deactivate account, type the confirmation word the dialog asks for and confirm.
This ends all your memberships and signs you out. If you want to come back later, your training company has to invite you again. Your details stay stored. For the full deletion, write to us as described above.
What is deleted
With the deletion, these details are irreversibly removed or made unidentifiable:
- first and last name
- email address
- profile picture and stored signature
- date of birth and the email address of your legal guardian
- password and the link to Google or Microsoft
- all open invitations, access links and signed-in devices
- your entry in the people directory of your training company
Signing in again is not possible afterwards.
What is kept, and why
mentro documents vocational education. Education reports, grades, self-assessments and practical tasks are records that your training company has to keep under the training ordinance. They are therefore not deleted but separated from your person: after the deletion they carry neither name nor contact details and can no longer be traced back to you.
These depersonalised records stay with the training company for as long as its statutory retention obligation lasts. After that they are removed together with the training company’s account.
If you administer an organisation
If you are the last active administrator of your training company, we cannot delete your account, as the organisation would be left without access. Appoint someone else as administrator first, or write to us so we can close the training company down in an orderly way.
