mentro is Swiss software for training companies and vocational education providers. Learners document their work as part of their everyday practice, rather than weeks later from memory. Guided, AI-supported reflection questions are tailored to the activities of the week and the learner’s stage of training. mentro automatically maps each entry to the competencies defined in the official training plan and takes into account whether the evidence comes from the learner or from a person responsible for their training.
The documented evidence shows how competencies are developing. Trainers can see at any time where a learner stands and identify early where further evidence or support is needed. The education report on the official SDBB form is based on documented evidence. AI supports the process, but does not assess or grade the learner. mentro runs in the browser on smartphones, tablets and computers, is available in four languages and is operated entirely on Swiss infrastructure.
The educational foundation matters to us just as much as the software. From the pilot onwards, together with the Lucerne University of Teacher Education (PH Luzern), we will study how reflection can be supported in ways that promote learning and how competencies can be assessed on a sound basis.
